Management
Use
Management objects form the basis for bug entry, processing, and reporting functions. These objects can be divided into four groups:
- Project definitions (Project Groups and Projects) – to define the projects your team works on.
- User data (User Groups and Users) – to identify your team members and their attributes.
- Project-User dependencies (Roles) – to describe what users are allowed to do within projects.
- Record attributes (Priorities, Versions, Types, Categories, Phases, Custom Fields) – to classify and identify bugs according to your team’s conventions.

Tips
Customizing the abovementioned entities is essential for efficient project management and improving bug resolution times. In addition, once the management objects have been created and bugs (records) are being entered into BUGtrack, it might be quite difficult to reorganize your work. For these reasons, it is advisable that the system management be carried out systematically, and with regard to possible future changes.
