Advanced Reports

Advanced reports are defined by the following properties, specified in the details page while you create or edit a standard report:

Name – a unique report title.

Access – use this section to specify the report access. If you create a report only for yourself, select your user name (for example Sam Powter) in the Access field. If the report has to be accessible to one or many user groups, check the Selected Groups option and select such groups.

Filter ing Criteria – here you specify which fields and values should be used to select records (bugs) to generate the report. For example, you can direct the system to select data only for records of a certain type that were opened or closed during a specified period of time or during a fixed time interval.

Output section.

Output Fields – select the record fields you would like the system to include in the generated XML structure. Unlike Standard reports, you may not use grouping and aggregation functions here. Instead, you select the output fields for every record that meets the selection criteria. You can even download bug details.

XSL – in this text-entry area, you can edit the XSL template used to transform the raw data.

XML preview – click the Refresh button to see how the first ten available records will appear in the XML structure when the report is generated.

Tips

You can also download your BUGtrack data in HTML format right from the Filter tab page. To do so, specify the required selection criteria and click the Export button. Next, select either Save or Open option in the File Download dialog of your browser.
