Use
"Type" field allows to specify the type of the record (is it "bug", "ticket", "defect", "issue", "enhancement" or any other type you create).
Types are complex entities, i.e. they can include Type-specific Categories and Phases to facilitate records classification.
Types are global, which means that they are created at the system level and can be employed in any project.

Procedure
To create a type:
- Click the Add Type link below the types list.
- In the Name text-entry field, enter the name of a new type.
- Press the Submit button to save the new type or the Reset button to clear the Name field.
To edit a type:
- Click the Edit icon next to the corresponding type in the list.
- On the displayed page edit the type name.
- Press the Submit button to save your change or the Reset button to roll back.
To delete a type:
- Click the Delete icon next to the type name to be deleted.
- On the displayed page select the type that all the records, belonging to the type that is to be deleted, will be reassigned to.
- Press the Submit button to confirm deletion.
To maintain type-specific categories, click the Categories icon next to the appropriate type:
- To create a new type-specific category, click the Add Category link below the type’s categories list, enter the new category’s title in the Name field. Press the Submit button to save the new category or the Reset button to clear the form.
- To edit a type-specific category, click the Edit icon next to the respective type’s category in the list. On the displayed page edit category name and press the Submit button to save the change or the Reset button to undo it.
- To delete a type-specific category, click the Delete icon next to the category title to be deleted, select the category that all bugs, belonging to the deleted category should be transferred to, and press the Submit button to confirm deletion.
To maintain a type’s phases, click the Phases icon in the corresponding line of the types list. Type-specific phases are maintained in the same way as type-specific categories (see above).
