This feature is available only in BUGtrack Professional Edition.
Use
When the number of your BUGtrack project grows, you can classify them into groups for easier management. Usually, projects are grouped based on their content areas. For example, project groups can be the following: ‘Word Processors’, ‘Internet applications’, ‘Internal Business Processes’, ‘Office Issues’.
The dependencies between projects and project groups are the following:
- A project may belong to one group only.
- A project group can include an unlimited number of projects.

Procedure
The Projects page serves for managing projects as well as project groups. Projects and groups are listed in alphabetical order. To quickly find a project group on the page, click the group name from the group list at the top of the page.
To create a project group:
- Click the Add Group link (at the bottom, below the grouped projects list).
- In the displayed window, type the group title in the Name field and press the Submit button to save the new group or the Reset button to clear the field.
To edit a group:
- Press the Edit icon next to the group title you would like to change.
- In the displayed window you can edit the name of the group and press the Submit button to save the new title or the Reset button to clear the field for a completely new title.
To delete a group:
- Click the Delete icon next to the Edit icon of the group you would like to delete.
- In the picklist on the displayed page, choose the group to which you wish to transfer all the projects belonging to the group that is to be deleted or ‘None’ if you do not want to transfer them to any of the existing groups.
- Press the Submit button to confirm the deletion.
Removing a project from a group is carried out via projects record management.
